State-of-the-Art Diagnostics and Treatment

Pacific Nephrology offers a complete range of the most advanced, up-to-date facilities and services for adult patients with hypertension and/or kidney disease. Through scientific detection and highly effective treatment options, we’re able to help arrest the progression of kidney disease in a manner that allows most of our patients to continue pursuing active and reasonably normal lives.

A Full Care Center

Often with kidney patients there are related complications resulting from cardiovascular disease, diabetes or viral infection. We work to coordinate care with primary doctors and colleagues in these other specialties to better manage the care of patients with these multiple disorders and who suffer complications that may affect other organs and systems.

A Wider Choice of Options

Unlike many other nephrology associations in the area, Pacific Nephrology has no ties to any specific health system, hospital or dialysis unit. Because we’re completely independent in this regard, our physicians are able to recommend the professionals and facilities best suited to your individual needs.

Specialized Care for All Ages

Our approach to care embraces the needs of every adult age group, including older patients and the chronically ill. We utilize a systematic, scientific approach to diagnosis and treatment based on the latest proven research developments and techniques. This approach enables us to provide an effective individualized program of care that is continually monitored and updated according to the patient’s ongoing response and recovery.

Initial Assessment and Early Detection

Pacific Nephrology offers screenings to individuals who are at a high risk of developing kidney disease and to individuals who suspect they may already be experiencing kidney malfunction.

There are many ways our physicians can determine whether a patient’s kidneys are working properly. At Pacific Nephrology we utilize a series of tests that measure chemical levels in the blood and urine. The results provide an accurate indicator of kidney function and whether there is any indication of anemia or high blood pressure. These tests can play a vital role in the early detection of kidney disease. The sooner a problem can be identified, the less damage the kidneys will suffer and the more effective treatment can be.

Treatment of Chronic Kidney Disease

Chronic kidney disease occurs from the gradual and eventually permanent loss of kidney functions over time. The most severe stage of this condition is end stage renal disease. In this situation, total or near-total loss of kidney functions results, and the patient will require dialysis or even a kidney transplant to stay alive.

Chronic kidney disease must be effectively managed in close consultation with a health care provider. The highly qualified physicians of Pacific Nephrology offer continuing, expert assistance in the day-to-day management of this disease.

This includes information about your diet, expedient health measures and the avoidance of potential conflicts with other medications you may be taking. We also suggest strategies for slowing the progression of your disease. These may also include the treatment of related conditions such as the control of blood glucose levels and high blood pressure.
